Background
Nam Lik 1 Hydropower Project is financed by KTB, EXIM and TBANK and has to comply with local and international standards to meet their requirement by the banks. Many advisory companies are involved during the pre-construction and construction phases to provide advices and give feedback to the project performance. The project is expected to complete the construction period by 2019.
Services Provided
ESL provided technical advisory services to Nam Lik 1 Hydropower Project during pre-construction until the end of construction services. The tasks provided to the client includes:
- Drafting of the contractual arrangement for the engagement of the E&S contractor;
- Complete review of the project E&S obligations with particular reference to the E&S Obligation Annex to the Concession Agreement (CA), the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP), the Livelihood and Income Restoration Plan (LIRP), the Ethnic Development Plan (EDP) as well as other documents of relevance;
- Monitoring and supervising the work carried out by Contractor during implementation;
- Coordinating with MONRE and relevant authorities as well as those established under the E&S Annex; and
Provide any additional advice to the Project Company Regarding the fulfillment of its E&S obligations.
