Sengpasith is ESL’s Managing Director with 10 years’ of experience he environment and social consulting. He graduated with a Ph.D. in sustainable resources engineering from Hokkaido University, Japan. He has extensive experience working in various fields such as electronic wastes and hazardous wastes management, environmental and social impacts assessment and management, toxic contaminations management (i.e., arsenic) in the mining industry, climate change – carbon credit, toxic waste issues (mercury) management in artisanal and small-scale gold mining, wastewater monitoring and treatment, preparation of feasibility study (FS) reports for several mining projects, etc.

Sengpasith has been provided consultancy services for numerous projects and research works with international organizations such as JICA (AUN-SEED/Net), ASEAN Foundation, SwissContact, IFC (WB), GEF, UNEP, AGC, EPFO, USAID, GIZ, etc.; and for several private companies such as LXML, Phu Bia Mining Limited, CEWA Energy (Thailand), BB Energy (UK), 5N Plus Lao, Accent Environmental (Australia), SSG (Australia), Phonesack Group, etc.; as well as government sector (MONRE). He also has a proven track record in data gathering and analysis, leading multidisciplinary teams, project management and supervisory experience, and has been attending several training and international conferences worldwide.
