Xekong Mine Mouth Thermal Power Project (“MMPP” or the “Project”) is located in the Xekong Province, southern of Lao People’s Democratic Republic (the “Lao PDR”). Once constructed, the Project will have an installed electricity generation capacity of 1,800 MWnet to be exported to the Kingdom of Cambodia (“Cambodia”).
ESL is conducting a mine closure plan as part of environment management for the client. The mine closure plan is in comply with local regulations as well as considering IFC EHS Guidelines for Mining and International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) when preparing the plan.
The services include: desktop study by reviewing all project documents, legal documents, conducting stakeholder analysis, conducting field investigation, preparing technical design and closure cost estimation. The report is to prepared based on the findings and feedbacks from the client and the Ministry of Energy and Mines. Public consultation is to conduct as part of review process.
