Mr. Souvanno Saycocie

Mr. Souvanno Saycocie serves as ESL’s Senior GIS and Database Specialist, bringing over a decade of expertise in environmental science, GIS, and data management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the National University of Laos and has undergone advanced training in Geographic Information Systems and resettlement planning. Fluent in Lao and Thai, with a working knowledge of English, Mr. Souvanno combines technical skills in ArcGIS, Microsoft Access, and database management with extensive fieldwork experience.

Throughout his career, Mr. Souvanno has contributed to a wide array of projects, including ESIAs, HIAs, socio-economic surveys, and baseline studies for major infrastructure and mining projects. At ESL, he plays a critical role in data analysis, quality assurance, GIS mapping, and database management for complex environmental and social assessments. His leadership in field operations and expertise in spatial analysis ensure the delivery of accurate and actionable insights, supporting sustainable development across diverse sectors in Laos and the region.
