Services Provided:
ESL successfully completed the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Health Impact Assessment (HIA) for the LXML Sepon Far Western Prospects Gold Mine Project.

Scope of Services:

  • Conducted environmental, social, socio-economic, and community health baseline studies within the Project’s area of influence.
  • Assessed potential environmental, social, and health impacts and risks associated with the proposed mine development and related activities.
  • Evaluated potential impacts on land, infrastructure, community assets, livelihoods, and local communities.
  • Developed appropriate mitigation, management, and monitoring measures to avoid, minimize, and manage identified environmental, social, and health impacts. Assessed potential positive and negative community health impacts and developed measures to manage health risks and enhance potential benefits.
  • Conducted stakeholder engagement and public consultations with affected communities, government authorities, and other relevant stakeholders in accordance with applicable Lao PDR requirements.
  • Integrated the assessment findings and mitigation measures into the ESIA and HIA documentation to support environmental approval and responsible project development.
