Environment Social Specialist

Mr. Oudomsack Pongmala is an experienced environmental and social specialist with expertise in water resource management, environmental assessments, and field data collection. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Khon Kaen University, Thailand, supported by the ASEAN and GMS Countries Scholarship, and a Bachelor’s degree in Water Resource Management from the National University of Laos. 

Currently working with ESL, he contributes to environmental assessments, social data collection, and proposal development. His field experience includes roles in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), water supply system improvements for rural communities, and community-level stakeholder engagement. With additional experience as a mathematics and Lao language tutor, Mr. Pongmala combines technical expertise with strong organizational and communication skills. His training in hydrological modeling, resettlement processes, and ESIA for mining further strengthens his professional profile.

  • Bachelor of Engineering major in Water Resources Management, National University of Laos (NUOL) (2015–2017)
