Environmental and Social Officer

Ms. Soudaphanh Prabouasone is ESL’s Environmental and Social Specialist, leveraging her comprehensive environmental engineering and socio-economic studies expertise. She earned a Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering from the National University of Laos and holds an Advanced Diploma in Professional English from Vientiane College. With a strong foundation in environmental frameworks and hazardous waste management, she has participated in specialized training programs, including the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) and ASEAN youth initiatives focused on sustainability. 

At ESL, Ms. Soudaphanh plays a key role in managing the environmental and social components of large-scale projects, such as ESIAs and HIAs for power plants, hydropower projects, and municipal solid waste management. Her contributions span from technical analysis and report writing to field supervision and stakeholder engagement. A fluent speaker of Lao, English, and Thai, she excels in cross-cultural communication, project coordination, and technical support, making her an essential part of ESL’s team committed to sustainable development in Laos and the region.
