Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) & Health Impact Assessment (HIA) For Sepon Far westen Project

Services Provided:
ESL is conducting both the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and the Health Impact Assessment (HIA).

Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA):

  • Investigate the study area affected both directly and indirectly by the proposed project.
  • Characterize the physical, biological, social, and economic characteristics of the project area.
  • Assess the potential environmental and social impacts of the project components.
  • Identify land, infrastructure, and other assets that may be impacted or lost due to project construction.
  • Propose measures to control and mitigate the identified impacts.
  • Engage with the public and stakeholders to present the project and the environmental and social impact assessment process, including mitigation measures, through public consultations as required by Decree 389/GOL.

Health Impact Assessment (HIA):

  • Collect and analyze baseline and secondary data on the health status of people in and around the project area.
  • Identify and assess the potential negative and positive impacts of the project on the health of individuals and communities.
  • Develop management measures to prevent, avoid, or minimize any negative health impacts, while maximizing health benefits arising from the project.
