Environment Social Specialist

Ms. Paneechang Vangher is an accomplished environmental specialist with expertise in soil, wastewater, and water management. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Institute of Technology Bandung, Indonesia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Chemistry from the National University of Laos. She has earned certifications from prestigious programs like the U.S.-ASEAN Women’s Leadership Academy and FAO’s Global Soil Laboratory Network.  

Currently serving as an Environmental and Social Specialist at ESL, she contributes to diverse environmental and social projects. Her responsibilities include supervising data collection for the Endline Survey WASH Project with SNV, preparing a Water Use Management Plan for Sepon Mine – Chifeng LXML, and supporting the Environmental Division in proposal development and project planning. Her extensive experience includes roles at Nam Theun 2 Hydro Power Company, the Center of Excellence in Environment (NUOL), and the Bioscience and Biotechnology Research Centre at ITB, covering areas such as environmental monitoring, water quality analysis, and soil bioremediation. Besides, Previously, she provided expert advice on environmental best practices and regulatory compliance at LAO-UAE Laboratory and Environmental Services Co., Ltd.  

She also served as Vice-President of the Sisterhood for Development Association in Laos, contributing to community development and educational initiatives. Vangher’s dedication to environmental advocacy, project execution, and community development underscores her commitment to fostering sustainable solutions in Laos and beyond.
