Company Background:
The Xekong Thermal Power Plant Project is operated by Xekong Power Plant Limited, a subsidiary of Phonesack Group. Located in southern Laos in Saravan Province, the project is approximately 800 km south of Vientiane Capital.

Services Provided:
ESL conducted the Health Impact Assessment (HIA) with the following scope of services:

Data Collection and Analysis:

• • Screening, scoping, and collecting baseline and secondary data on community health status.
  • Analyzing data to identify health trends and conditions.

Impact Assessment:

• • Identifying and assessing potential negative and positive health impacts associated with the project.

Management Measures:

• • Developing measures to prevent, avoid, or minimize negative health impacts.
  • Proposing strategies to maximize potential health benefits arising from the project.

Reporting and Consultation:

• • Preparing detailed reports.
  • Conducting public consultations to gather community feedback.
  • Revising and editing reports to meet approval requirements by the Ministry of Health.
