ESL conducts the Baseline Biodiversity Survey. The services include:

Wildlife and Vegetation Baseline Information:

• • Collect baseline data on wildlife and vegetation species in the study area.

Identification of Species of Conservation Concern:

• • Identify species of high conservation concern, including rare, endemic, migratory/congregation species, IUCN Red List Threatened species, and Lao PDR species of conservation concern.

Ecological Reporting:

• • Report on dominant assemblages, abundance, diversity, and species richness.
  • Report on the presence of migratory and/or congregation species, particularly avian species.

Critical Habitat Reporting:

• • Report on Critical Habitats (e.g., wetlands, landscapes harbouring endemic species) and natural or modified landscapes that may harbour large concentrations of species deemed significant for conservation.

Species of National/International Concern:

• • Report on other species of conservation concern at both the international and national levels.
